Not for Sissies: Navigating the Hero’s Journey of Spiritual Awakening
The spiritual journey is many things, but "easy" is rarely one of them. It is a path that demands resilience, raw honesty, and a level of inner strength that most people never have to tap into. If you feel like you are being pushed to your limits, take heart: you are inherently equipped for this, and you are never walking this path alone.
We are all part of a vast, interconnected web. Our ancestors walked these lands before us, laying down a luminous trail of wisdom. Even now, they stand ready to assist. When the world feels too loud or the energy too intense, the solution is often found in the simplest of actions: finding stillness and remembering to breathe.
Wisdom from a Century of Life
Years ago, I had the privilege of caring for a remarkable 99 year old man from Norway. He had a sharp wit and would often chuckle while saying, "Growing old ain't for sissies."
Fast forward to a period of intense spiritual awakening I experienced in Las Vegas. During a particularly challenging physical and emotional stretch, his words echoed through my mind with a new twist. An inner voice distinctly whispered to me:
"This spiritual journey ain't for sissies. Just breathe and be still. Seek out the revitalizing presence of water or the grounding energy of the forest."
Whether it is the vastness of the ocean, the calm of a lake, or the shade of ancient trees, nature provides the frequency we need to recalibrate our souls.
From Trauma to Transformation
My own conscious awakening began in 2010 when I became a Reiki Master. Before this, my body felt like an unsafe place to live. I was plagued by fear and overwhelming anxiety rooted in deep childhood trauma.
Reiki served as the key that unlocked a gateway to my deeper understanding. It allowed me to finally confront the questions that had haunted me since my teens: Why am I here? What is my true purpose?
Through this process, I discovered that my purpose is to joyfully embody my divine gifts. We are all treasure chests brimming with unique talents. My role in this lifetime is to act as a catalyst and an activation portal for others as they wake up to their own brilliance. I have seen this most clearly with the massive wave of Indigo Children awakening that began around 2019.
Honoring the Legacy of the Cards
In 2022, I launched my YouTube channel, Astral LightHouse, marking the start of my public journey with card reading. This wasn’t a sudden whim; it was a decade in the making.
I inherited a cherished set of cards from a dear friend in spirit named Frances. She was a Reiki Master who began reading in 1974. Though receiving her deck was a profound honor, it took me ten years to find the courage to actually shuffle them. Today, I use her decks alongside the Voyager Card deck by James Wanless. These tools perfectly mirror the themes of the "Hero’s Journey" that we are all currently navigating.
A Bridge Between Worlds
My work allows me to see and feel the transitions of life. I perceive upcoming events and can sense when souls are preparing to enter this world or pass over into the spirit realm.
What I have learned is beautiful: our ancestors, angels, guides, and masters come to dance with us every single day. They are not distant figures; they are active participants in our lives. It is the greatest honor of my life to channel their messages and remain of service to the human heart.
